The Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils have a very good balance between hard and soft.
The 3.8 mm thick lead/core is made of oil instead of wax and the wood is varnished in the colour of the lead/core.
The coloured pencils contain high-quality pigments with excellent colour strength and light fastness. Due to a full colour release and smooth working,
they give a beautiful result and the colours remain good.
Mixing the colours is also excellent. You can colour multiple layers on top of each other for depth and a realistic result.
This is also the reason why the Polychromos is a very popular pencil.
