With Talens Masking Liquid you easily protect parts of your watercolour or drawing paper that you want to keep white. This masking fluid is applied before painting and, once dry, forms a thin film that prevents paint or ink from reaching the paper. Perfect for creating sharp contrasts, light effects and fine details.
Use an old brush, as the liquid can corrode hairs. Optionally, you can rub the brush with soap beforehand for protection.
Features:
– Colourless and transparent after drying, making it neutral to use
– Suitable for watercolour, ink, and other water-based paints
– Easy to remove without damaging the paper (when applied correctly)
– Ideal for fine details, light effects, and special techniques
Application:
Shake the bottle well before use.
1. Apply the liquid with an old brush or a cotton swab to the areas you want to cover.
2. Let it dry completely before painting over it.
3. After painting, gently rub or peel the film off the paper, leaving the original white base visible.
Safety advice:
- Use in a well-ventilated area (the liquid contains ammonia and may be irritating with prolonged inhalation).
- May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
- Highly flammable, avoid fire and sparks.
- Keep out of reach of children.
