What is Punch Needle?

Punching is an embroidery technique also known as the punch needle technique. You use a hollow punch needle through which the thread runs.
With this needle you push the punch needle thread through the fabric canvas. When you bring the needle up again, a small loop will be created at the back.
All these loops together give a very nice effect, a kind of embroidery with relief.
You can decide which side you like to use. The side with the loops or the other, smoother side.
