Wat heb je allemaal nodig voor gel printing?
Om te beginnen heb je minimaal nodig:
- een gelplaat
- acrylverf
- papier of textiel als ondergrond
Hulpmiddelen zoals een verfroller en een spatel maken het werken eenvoudiger en zorgen voor een mooier resultaat.
Welke verf kan ik gebruiken voor gel printing?
Acrylverf is het meest geschikt voor gel printing. Deze verf hecht goed aan de gelplaat en droogt snel genoeg om mooie afdrukken te maken.
In ons assortiment zijn bijvoorbeeld de lijnen Neopaque en Lumiere van Jacquard zeer geschikt. Ze hebben goede dekking en zijn geschikt voor zowel papier als textiel.
Op welk papier kan ik gel prints maken?
Je kunt gel prints maken op veel soorten papier, zoals:
- tekenpapier
- mixed media papier
- scrapbookpapier
- dun karton
Gladde en licht absorberende papiersoorten werken het best.
Wat is een monoprint?
Een monoprint is een unieke afdruk die niet exact herhaald kan worden. Bij gel printing is elke afdruk anders, zelfs als je dezelfde kleuren en materialen gebruikt.
Hoe maak ik mijn gelplaat schoon?
Na gebruik kun je restverf eenvoudig verwijderen met een zachte doek of keukenpapier. Eventueel kun je een beetje water of milde zeep gebruiken. Laat de gelplaat daarna goed drogen voordat je hem opbergt.
