You can use iDye Poly for almost all synthetic fabrics such as polyester and nylon.
One package of iDye Poly can be used for 1-1.3 kg of dry matter.
Note that the result of the color is least affected on a light (white/cream) background. When you paint a colored object/garment, the color of the paint blends, so to speak, with the current color of the object/garment.
Not all substances are the same. Results may vary depending on fabric type, fabric color, dye bath temperature and dye bath time.
Color
Paint blends with the existing color(s) of the fabric.
If the garment you are dyeing is white or off-white, you should be able to use a oagreement to achieve color. However, if your garment already has a color, your only option is to over-dye it with a darker color.
Patterns and logos
If the garment you are dyeing has a pattern or logo, the color you use will blend with the existing color(s) in the fabric and create new colors.
Bleaching spots and sun damage
Sun and bleach damage the fabric, making it very difficult to dye. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot guarantee that dye will cover the stains.
Polyester is difficult to dye and requires a lot of heat to achieve good color; therefore, we recommend dyeing polyester only by the stove top method.
This paint is also excellent for coloring 3D printed objects and even buttons, toys, dolls, wigs and more.
The paint is suitable for 3D printed objects of the material: Strong & Flexible Plastic or Versatile Plastic from Shapeways (Nylon Plastic / PA12 / Polyamide) and HP Nylon.
When painting Nylon objects, we recommend to no color intensifier to be used.
The ratio we often use when painting 3D printed objects is 1ml of paint powder combined with 500ml of water.
Read the instructions beforehand:

The paint comes in a soluble bag, so you don’t have to deal with loose powder: simply put the bag in a pan of water, add the substance or objects and heat (stove-top method).
You can also cut open the pouch and store the powder in a sealable container. That way you don’t have to use the paint powder all at once. For a lighter color, use less paint powder and vice versa.
This paint cannot be used using the washing machine!
For mixed fabrics containing both synthetic and natural fibers, you can use iDye for natural fabrics with the corresponding iDye Poly color at the same time. (Or use two different colors for interesting effects).
For best results: read the instructions beforehand, use the stove-top method (dyeing in hot water), be sure to stir constantly for even color.
iDye Poly is available in 16 different colors:
