Jacquard SolarFast Starter Kit – Complete Sunlight Prints for Paper and Textiles

With the Jacquard SolarFast Starter Kit, you’ll discover a surprisingly simple and fun way to create your own images on natural fabrics and paper. You don’t need a printer, iron or any complicated equipment, just this set and sunlight.

SolarFast is a special paint that reacts to light. Where light hits the paint, the color darkens; where no light hits, the fabric remains light. This creates an imprint of anything you put on it: leaves, flowers, a self-drawn negative, lace, letters or other objects.

With this starter kit you can start right away. You apply the paint to the fabric, put an object or stencil on it, put the whole thing outside in the sun for a while and after a few minutes your unique print will appear.

Short, simple instructions for use

1. Apply the paint
   Using the sponge, spread a thin layer of SolarFast on fabric or paper.

2. Put something on top
   Consider a leaf, clipping, stencil, photo negative or anything else that has a shape.

3. Put it in the sun
   Put it in direct sunlight for a few minutes.

4. Wash it out
   Wash fabric with SolarFast Wash to remove excess paint and fix the design.

5. Dry and admire
   Your print is now permanent and colorfast
